Pembroke House completed the annual CQC inspection with ‘good vibes’.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out a comprehensive inspection of Pembroke House on 13th and 14th June 2018.
Whilst the full inspection report has not yet been published, the written feedback from the Inspector was most encouraging, noting the ‘positive comments from people about the care provided’; ‘full activities programme and planned visits’; ‘good management structure in place and comprehensive quality assurance systems in place’, and ‘safe recruitment procedures in place for staff and volunteers.’
It also noted that a new medication system had been implemented and that a change in care planning documentation from paper to electronic was in progress. This initial feedback report reflects very favourably on the efforts of the Home Manager and staff, and a successful final Inspection Report is awaited with confidence.
