Making a Donation
The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust (RNBT) is always very grateful to receive any donations from organisations and members of the public, whatever the amount. Every donation we receive goes towards making someone’s life easier.
As none of our income is guaranteed, we rely on the goodwill of those who give, and who have always given so generously over the years, we are careful to spend our income wisely and effectively.
There are many easy ways in which to make a donation to the RNBT
- Cheque
- Postal Order
- Direct Debit
- Online using a credit/debit card through Virgin Money Giving
Donating through tax efficient schemes such as Gift Aid, where your donation can be increased by up to a third (at no extra cost to you) are the most effective. All you need to do is sign the appropriate declaration on the form and we’ll do the rest.
There are many other ways of "Donating" to the RNBT
- In memoriam donations, often in lieu of flowers
- Remembering us in your will
- Giving directly through your payroll
- Donating shares through the Sharegift scheme
- Organising a fundraising event
- Ordering merchandise from the Trust

Any cheques should be made payable to the "Royal Naval Benevolent Trust", alternatively, if you wish to make a regular donation, please complete the Direct Debit Section of the form. After completion the Direct Debit Section should be forwarded direct to the Trust and after processing by us it will be forwarded to your bank and you will be advised.
